Project Description

This new residence is designed to accommodate 21st century living in a home that looks like it has been on the property for 200 years. Georgian details, farm house style, and traditional New England materials disguise the openness and modern amenities on the inside. The primary goal of the owner was to create a welcoming home to accommodate their children and 8 grandchildren; offering a place to play, a place to rest, and a place to gather for many years. Proof of the exterior design success came via an inquiry during a shipping delivery.  The driver commented on how well the Owner had completed the renovations, but he did not remember the home being on his route.  “It wasn’t”, replied the Owner, “it is a brand new home”.   This house is featured in New Old House Magazine (Fall 2006) and Yankee Magazine (January/February 2007).
