Ski racing and design each provide a visual and physical challenge. While racing, you must react to how the gates are set, what terrain changes are in the course and the condition of the snow. While designing, you must react to how a client sets their design criteria, what terrain exists on a specific site and the budget conditions of the client.
A great design opportunity for me is working with people who provide us with a visual and physical challenge. We’ll put on our helmets, install our shin guards, pull on a pair of race gloves and blast out of the starting gate. Our goal is always a winning design.
