As restoration of the farm house nears completion, focus has turned to the planning of the restoration of the last of the existing structures, the garage.  The garage is the youngest of the structures on site, dating mid to late 19th century, having both sawn and hewn timber elements.  Planning will take place over the winter for the original heavy timber frame to be restored and for the building to be picked up and relocated.  The design of the exterior will focus on staying authentic to the aesthetic of the original design while complementing the other restored structures on site and the vision of our client, Chris Barensfeld.  This restored structure, along with a brand new structure,  will be used for storage for farm equipment used on site.  Stay tuned…
